Partners In Care

The Arizona Symposium on Children with Special Health Care Needs

The Partners in Care Symposium will provide physicians, families, and healthcare providers with the opportunity to increase their knowledge for improving the quality of care for Arizona’s children with special health care needs.

Session Topics Include:

  • Child Health Policy and the New Administration

  • Improving Transition from Pediatric to Adult Health Care

  • Self-Determination and Positive Health Care Transitions

  • Autism Into Adulthood

The Partners in Care Symposium addresses the practice gap in the transition from pediatric- to adult-focused health care for adolescents with special health care needs, and responds to the vital need for education in this area. The Symposium provides continued education from experts and connection to community resources for physicians, allied healthcare professionals and families, including relevant and useful guidance and knowledge on the topic of youth transition to adult care.

Community agencies and providers will offer exhibits at the event, with information and resources on a wide variety of services available to professionals and families.
